For installation


Cleaning of shaft surface. Clean the shaft surface of dust and rust.


About off centering.

Set the misalignment between 2 shafts within coupling capacity.
If the misalignment is large between 2 shafts, vibration, noise will occur and effect for product durability.


Confirmation of center of motor shaft

  1. Confirmation of center of motor shaftCheck the off centering accuracy of out put motor shaft.
    Find the centering accuracy by measuring the out put motor shaft before coupling installation.
    Set the dial gage as picture for measuring the off centering of motor shaft. (Fig.1)
    Off centering amount of motor shaft is established by each manufactures, however at this stage off centering might be already occurred.

How to install

AS, AD, AL are pre assembled, which are large couplings.
Loosen the screws at disk spring and take a part of body and disk spring. The washer and screws are only in right number. If you have lost them, contact us for replacement.
  1. Basic gap size between bodies.Confirmation of gap between bodies.
    After deciding the gap between body, connect with taper, mecha-lock, and key etc. (Fig.2) Pre hole processing and shaft connection should be concerned before.

    Adjust the gap between bodies in the umber of end play table below.
    Adjust the number as much as you can with almost 0 misangle and off centering.
    Calculate and confirm the distance between bodied of AD, AL with LL×2+LC.
  2. Confirm the off centering error.Confirm the off centering error.
    Find the centering accuracy by measuring the out put motor shaft before coupling installation. Set the dial gage as picture for measuring the off centering of motor shaft. (Fig.3)
    Adjust the position as much as closer to 0, since AS type is not capable misangle.
    AD, AL type should be assembled in accuracy under catalogue or drawing.

  3. Confirmation of misangle error for body.
    Find the centering accuracy by measuring the out put motor shaft before coupling installation. Set the dial gage as picture for measuring the off centering of motor shaft. (Fig.4)

  4. After the confirmation of gap between body, misangle, off centering, tightening screws with standard torque.After the confirmation of gap between body, misangle, off centering, tightening screws with standard torque.
    Grease to lock screw, taper part, and axial surface, which does not include high pressurized.
    Use the torque wrench for tightening locking screws.

    Tighten the screws gently in diagonal direction (1/2 of certain torque), later tighten with certain torque. Finally, tighten the screws in circle direction for few times. (Fig.5)
  5. Assembly for disk spring of clumping screw.
    After the installation of body to shaft precisely, tightening the U nut at disk spring.
    Use the torque wrench for tightening in diagonal direction by rotating U nut.
  6. For first loosen screws.
    After the installation, machine keeps running for 30 minutes and tightened the screws again.

Confirmation of safety before uninstallation

Check your safety first before loosen the locking screws.
Turn off the main switch, check thrust load and torque are not on coupling or check the drops.


How to uninstall

How to uninstall Loosen the locking screw at side ring and install those screws in to all tapping holes of uninstallation and tighten for disconnecting from shaft. (Fig.6)
