For installation

Wipe up the shaft surface to clean rust, dust, and dart.

Accuracy of centering.

Adjust in center to keep the number of misalignment between 2 shafts
If the number is larger than catalogue number this might cause the noise or vibration.

Confirmation of center of motor shaft

  1. Confirmation of center of motor shaftCheck the off centering accuracy of out put motor shaft.
Find the centering accuracy by measuring the out put motor shaft before coupling installation.
Set the dial gage as picture for measuring the off centering of motor shaft. (Fig.1)
Off centering amount of motor shaft is established by each manufactures, however at this stage off centering might be already occurred.

How to install

First calculate the location of coupling, which from driven shaft to hollow shaft edge for keeping the clearance in shaft direction after the installation.
If the distance between shaft edge is short, please check there is no obstacle around the location considering off centering and angular misalignment. Slider bore is sat more than 1mm larger than maximum shaft diameter therefore coupling can be stick out from the edge.
Locking screws are greased looseness stopper and five times the maximum of reuse. Prepare the new screws if coupling is reused more than 5 times.
  1. Assembling the body to driven shaft.
First tightening locking screw gentry with toque wrench diagonally (half of full torque of tightening), after this tightening with full torque. Finally tightening screws in circular direction few times. Confirm that screws are tightened by appropriate torque.
Do not tightening only one side to avoid off centering.
  2. Assemble above part with slider part (Fig.2)Assemble above part with slider part (Fig.2)
Do not tightening only one side to avoid off centering.
Leave the gap 0.4 - 0.6mm between body and slider. Slier might be damaged if there are no gap with misangle and off centering.
Do not tightening only one side to avoid off centering.
  3. Assemble the body to follow shaft.
First tightening locking screw gentry with toque wrench diagonally (half of full torque of tightening), after this tightening with full torque. Finally tightening screws in circular direction few times. Confirm that screws are tightened by appropriate torque. (Fig.3)
    Screw size for E-45 are M4 for φ12 - 16, and M5 for φ17 - 18.

Confirmation of safety before uninstallation

Check your safety first before loosen the locking screws.
Turn off the main switch, check thrust load and torque are not on coupling or check the drops.

How to uninstall

How to uninstallLoosen the screws of motor installation side, and take out slowly from housing to shaft direction. Locking screws are loosen step by step. Install the uninstalled locking screws to uninstallation hole and tighten each those screws evenly. (Fig.4)

Grease the uninstallation screws. Also use all uninstallation holes.
