Process the flange at the same time to maintain the accuracy.

JK. JKW cannot receive misalignment, therefore end of flange of ball screw installation part(a), in-low(b), bearing of ball screw side(c) (d) are processed at the same time. (concentricity, right angle, parallel) (Fig.1)


For installation


Wipe up the shaft surface to clean rust, dust, and dart.

Rust protection oil is spread to this coupling for packing, therefore wipe the oil at the bore.

Confirmation before installation

  1. Confirmation before installationCheck the off centering accuracy of out put motor shaft.
    Find the centering accuracy by measuring the out put motor shaft before coupling installation.
    Set the dial gage as picture for measuring the off centering of motor shaft. (Fig.2)
    Off centering amount of motor shaft is established by each manufactures, however at this stage off centering might be already occurred.

How to install

Confirm that coupling of locking screws are loosen before install to the shaft.
Wipe up the bore of coupling to clean the dust.
  1. Install the coupling to servo motor shaft and move to housing. (Fig.3)

  2. Confirm the JK JKW slides without any stress, when install the coupling to follow shaft without locking.
  3. Use torque wrench for tightening the screws in diagonal direction. (Fig.5)Use torque wrench for tightening the screws in diagonal direction. (Fig.5)
    Insert the screwdriver to the hole at out side diameter to hold the coupling.
    Use torque wrench for tightening the screws lightly in diagonal direction (half of certain torque), later tighten with certain torque.
  4. Conformation of assembly accuracy.
    Set the dial gauge to 0 at outside diameter of JK.JKW body.
    Avoid the hole at outside diameter for measuring.
    Adjust the coupling installation accuracy within 2/100 at housing clearance of in-low of the motor. (Fig.6)

  5. Confirmation of tightening.
    Tighten the screws in circle ways for few times, and check if those screws do not rotate after tightened the screws with certain torque.
  6. For first loosen screws.
    After the installation, machine keeps running for 30 minutes. And check the tightening torque again.

Confirmation of safety before uninstallation

Check your safety first before loosen the locking screws.
Turn off the main switch, check thrust load and torque are not on coupling or check the drops.


How to uninstall

Loosen the locking screws in order.

Taper angle is designed for easy uninstallation, however this can be hard depending on installation condition, in this case use minus screw driver to make a gap between flange and side ring for easy uninstallation. Do not damage tapping hole or thru hole by minus screw driver.
